The opportunity
The Events Coordinator is a crucial member of the events team that develops, produces and manages the major events of the History Trust of South Australia. The Events Coordinator assists with the successful delivery of South Australia’s History Festival and the Bay to Birdwood, as well as others in the events profile of the History Trust of SA. 

The successful candidate will work in a team that adopts event design principles, assists with identifying, securing and servicing sponsorships and partnerships and works closely with our marketing and communication team to foster and develop relationships with tourism and event organisers around South Australia and nationally. A collaborative and enthusiastic mindset and being supportive of excellence is essential.

Special conditions
Some out of hours work may be required. Occasional weekend work may be required. Engagement in this role is subject to a satisfactory Department of Human Services Working with Children Check. Intrastate and interstate travel may be required and a current driver’s licence is desirable.

Additional note
This is a part-time (0.9 FTE) contract, starting in March 2022 (to be negotiated) for two years with possibility of extension. The role is located at History Trust of South Australia, Torrens Parade Ground, Victoria Drive, Adelaide but may be required to work from one of our Museum locations.

Salary
ASO3:  $63,681 – $67,868  pa
