Play Your Part is an Arts, Culture, Community and Heritage consultancy, run by Maz McGann that works closely with a range of clients nationally to develop projects and strategies relating to arts, culture, tourism, community development, heritage, civic infrastructure, leadership and funding.
We work with people to plan, create, review and evaluate projects and we can help individuals, businesses and organisations to develop realistic strategies and frameworks, which translate easily into actions. Play Your Part specialises in arts and culture but we regularly work across a range of industries including heritage, community development, tourism, health and education. We have extensive experience working in community settings, consulting for local and state government and focusing on sector development.
Philosophically, we believe everyone should get the opportunity to play a part in their community’s cultural life. The world today is often skewed towards people experiencing life from a passive perspective – as a spectator or consumer of things that are designed to entertain us and we want to change that. People want to have meaningful experiences and genuinely contribute to their community and we work in a way that activates people and encourages dynamic involvement – through community engagement, workshop facilitation, planning and project development.
We are flexible and creative thinkers that enjoy challenging the status quo and help people to think about new ways of doing things that is both exciting and grounded.
