The Chevrolet Performance Association of SA are a family orientated social club whose interests are in ALL style and types of Chevrolet vehicles. CPA began in Sept 1992 as a few members who got together to promote Chevrolet and now has grown to more than 200 strong members. The club encourages social activities, vehicle safety, continuance of interest in Chevrolet and all aspects of the motoring fraternity. They hold monthly meetings and enjoy the social aspect of the club which includes cruises, picnics, annual dinners and other activities.
The club also holds its own annual event - Super Chev Sunday. Chevrolet's of all shapes and sizes participate in a weekend of activites with awards presented for the best vehicles. For more information on the club visit their website

1969 Chevrolet Kingswood Estate
Engine: Chevrolet V8 350 cubic inch capacity
This vehicle was purchased by the Chevrolet Performance Association in September 2001 from Sacramento, California as a club project and has been restored by members. It is now used for club events and fund raising. The station wagon has attended many local and interstate events including club nationals in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
1968 Chevrolet Comaro Super Sport
Engine: Chevrolet V8 350cubic inch capacity
This car was brought from a California police impound yard in 1995 complete with bullet holes and a crashed front end. It has been completely restored to factory SS specifications along with options (including power steering, air conditioning, power brakes, 15 inch rally wheels, console and gauge package and tinted windows) as ordered from new. The restoration project took 6 years and the owner is too scared to gauge the costs involved!
1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Third generation
Engine: Chevrolet V8 350 cubic inch capacity
This vehicle is the 2067th of a total of 21,801 Corvette’s built in 1971. It was imported from California in 2001 and has taken four years to be completely rebuilt.
1979 Chevrolet Monza Spyder Sports Hatch
Engine: Chevrolet V8 327 cubic inch capacity
Last bought in 2003, the car came from West Virginia via a stint in Womera. It has been completely stripped down and had all mechanics replaced, largely by the Chevrolet Performance Association. It now features in club shows and displays.
