National Motor Museum

Sunday 30 September 2007

The processions of classic cars travelling through the city and hills is only half the story of this iconic South Australian event. Each year the Bay to Birdwood culminates at the National Motor Museum with a full day of entertainment and festivities drawing thousands of spectators, families and enthusiasts.

The public is invited to travel along the South Eastern Freeway to join the festivities at the National Motor Museum in Birdwood from 10am until 5pm. The first entrant cars begin arriving at the museum from around 10.30am.  Whether you're a car lover or not - young or old - there’s something for everyone at the Finish. Highlights include:

  • Viewing the Concours d’ elegance entries and judging of cars

  • Fashions in the Field [period costume]

  • Full classic entertainment program with our MC Tommy Kaye

  • Live bands - Boomers, Holly & the Buddies, Blue Comets and The Hydramatics,

  • Dancing demos from the Adelaide Rock and Roll Club and

  • A huge selection of local food and wine.

The finish at the National Motor Museum is definitely the place to be, and with record crowds expected to turn out this year, there is no better time to come and experience it for yourself.
