The impact of World War ll in documents

Evidence of Survival pieces together the extraordinary stories of lives of ordinary people through ‘scraps of paper’. These powerful drawings, official documents and personal papers document the lives of people who fought for survival during World War II and built new lives in Australia afterwards.

This exhibition documents responses by ‘young people at risk’ to ideas about hopefulness and the future. It aims to expand and challenge notions of social sustainability by including those identities and ideas that are normally marginal to it.
