Devotional Card

In the nineteenth century South Australia was an outpost of the empire. South Australia’s connections with Britain remained strong for many migrants over a number of years. This included incorporation of many cultural traditions and institutions. It also included royal visits. British settlers and their descendants in South Australia treasured many souvenirs from these occasions, and other objects commemorating royalty or the empire.

Devotional Card

This devotional card was kept for many years in the “Queen Adelaide Collection” as a sample of Queen Adelaide’s handwriting.
