Greek

Greek banner

The Sturt pea on the window ledge is a reminder that the view of traditional life in Greece is through an Australian window. The scene is a memory of life in the old land. The white Orthodox church dominates. It symbolises the cultural and spiritual influence of the church on the Greek community. This influence was transferred from the old country to the new.

Designed by Helen Kostoglou and Mina Karavis
Made by the Greek Women’s Society of South Australia, 1988.
