Settlement SquareA central feature of the Museum’s courtyard is Settlement Square. Here South Australians are given the opportunity to acknowledge their forebears and families. Pavers in the Square are engraved with the name, birthplace and date of arrival in Australia and then laid in the Migration Museum’s courtyard.s Whether your family have always been here, came as early settlers or are recent arrivals, there is a place for you in the Migration Museum’s Settlement Square. It is a special place of commemoration and a unique way to record the names of some of the many people who have contributed to the rich cultural diversity of South Australia. A $300 donation to the Migration Museum Foundation is acknowledged by the laying of one paver and a $500 donation by the laying of two. If you would like to know more about becoming a Foundation member please contact the Museum on 8207 7570.
