Trade and Commerce

Lying at the end of global trading routes, South Australia relied on the sea for survival. Not only to get goods and effects to the rest of the world, but also to transport items within and between the colonies and states. Our collection includes fascinating items from the days of the ketches and windjammers to the wharves and docks of the present.
